Initial Report for 2018-2019

Bulletin Editor

Yasuharu Hinachi, ASD-Bulletin Editor

1. Specific Goals during the term

Plan to issue 3 bulletins at the each end of October 2018, February and June 2019.

2. Measures to be taken to achieve the above mentioned goals

1. Make the plan of Bulletin No.1, send it to the web server and start the web server application program.
2. Monitor the work of the web server application program.
3. With the help of WM will guide the contributors so that they use the Tiny MCE efficiently.
   (We have prepared yet a "help" for the using of the Tiny MCE. Please read well the help before you put question(s). The URL of help is: http://www.ysmenap.org/report/help/help.html)

3. Challenges

Haven't prepared yet a web server application program to make the bulletin on the website. It is a kind of small CMS (Content Management System). Its process is:

1. Sending the plan of bulletin to the web server.
2. The web server application program requests by e-mail to contributors (AP, AS, AT, ASDs and RDs) to send their report to the web server.
3. The contributors write their report on the Tiny MCE (rich text editor) and send it to the web server.
4. The web server application program composes a bulletin gathering the reports sent by the contributors to the web server.
5. The web server application program announces the URL of the bulletin to AP, AS, AT, ASDs and RDs by e-mail.

4. Additional Comments

1. The web server application program for bulletin can make the work book for ACM and MYM. The bulletin and the work book have almost same contents. Until now, the office secretary and the bulletin editor made the almost same document separately. We believe it's a waste of time. The office secretary may use this web server application program to make the work book.
2. Until now, we had the work book in paper only. It is difficult to refer to the work book of past years. But we can have the work book on the web site now. It become easy to refer to the past ones.
3. If all the members of ACM or MYM bring their portable personal computers, it is not necessary to print out the work book. We can contribute to the environmental protection.
4. If we don't print out the work book, we can set the deadline of the work book more lately.
