1. Specific goals during the term

To encourage all regions under the Asia Pacific Area to send their respective region CS Report done from December 2018 to June 2019.

2. Measures to be taken to achieve the above mentioned goals

Reminder e-mails were sent thrice to the RDs of the regions, their RSD-CS & Regional Office, if available, to remind them for the preparation & to have their report submitted on time

3. Achievements made

5 Regions responded out of 7 regions, or a 71.43% achievement

CS Report Received (not in any order):

  1. Japan West Region
    • Kobe Port Club - “Charity Concert 2019 & Reconstruction Aid to Stricken Area” The charity concert was held by broadcast relaying between Kobe and the great Earthquake stricken area – Ishinomaki of Japan East as people continue supporting this area
  2. Japan East Region
    • Utsunomiya Club – Project: Japanese Traditional Play, Jan. 19, 2019 at Tochigi YMCA; Held with Tochigi YMCA Youths, 40 children participated
    • Atami Club – Project: Parade for Eradication of Drunken Driving, Dec. 17, 2018 at Nagisa Small Park, Atami with 40 Y’s Men participated
    • Menettes Circle of Sendai Hirosegawa Club – Project: Donation of Apron Theater, July 01 to Dec. 31, 2018. Menettes Circle has made and presented 5 apron theaters to Day Nursery, Kindergarten and Children’s Center for the last two and half years
  3. Sri Lanka Region
    • Colombo Club - Y’s Men of Colombo Club carol at Shanthi Nivasa Elder’s Home, Colombo 3 on the eve of 18 December 2018
    • Colombo Club – members of Y’s Men’s Club of Colombo (YMCC) donated medicines, cleaning equipment and other items needed at Mother Theresa Home
    • Other CS projects done by Colombo Club included monthly financial aid to 2 Leprosy patients and school going children, visiting elder’s home at Kollupitiya before Christmas; sing carols to inmates followed by dinner with gifts; tree planting project and restoration work at Kilinocchi with YMCA
    • Kurunegala Club – distributed 15 Dry Ration bags among the poor at Hiripitiya for Christmas (Dec. 18, 2018)
    • Kurunegala Club – offered breakfast to 300 cancer patients to clinic at Kurunegala Hospital (May 27, 2019) & Sil Observers at Malkaduwawa Temple (Jan. 23, 2019)
    • Kurunegala Club – donated commercial String Hopper maker, gas cooker, gas cylinder with attachment, utensils steamer and a bakery table to poor family without income at Saragama (April 22, 2019)
    • Kurunegala Club – donated playpen & other items with dry ration for a 6 months old baby at Yanthampalawa (Feb. 11, 2019)
    • Kurunegala Club – donated 2500 roof tiles to Makulwewa Senior Citizens Community Centre (Mar. 28, 2019)
    • Kurunegala Club – other CS projects include providing transport cost for Lourds Girls home inmates for going to school; donated a computer and 500 Monitor excise books to Edandawala Vidyalaya; paid advance level student who sat for examination
    • Mahanuwara Club – donated 1000 liter plastic water tank and installed at the roof top of Kidney Patient House in Dehiattakandiya (Feb. 08, 2019)
    • Moratuwa Club – had Christmas Carols with inmates of Methobist Elders Home at Mortumulla with dinner; sponsored a school boy expenses at St. Sebastian College
    • Young Moratuwa Club – Christmas reception and donation of school bags & dry rations to Bethany Children’s Home (Dec.16, 2018)
    • Young Moratuwa Club – distribution of 50 pairs of shoes &toys to the children and 35 dry ration parcel to their parents, gifted a nearly new sewing machine to teach single mothers to learn sewing for self employment
    • Young Moratuwa Club – donation of a Radio/CD Player to Sarvodaya Childrens Home (Dec. 23, 2018)
    • Young Moratuwa Club – cash donation handed to St. Carlo Borromeo Church (Rev. Fr. Roshan Fernando) for reconstruction of the church building (Mar. 19, 2019)

  4. Taiwan Region
    • Central District donated Scholarship to Elementary School (Dec. 2018)
    • Central District done Christmas Reception for disadvantaged elders (Dec. 2018)
    • North District on-going annual project “Adopt Park”
    • CS Projects of the whole region –
      > Cash donation to disabled people (Jan. 2019);
      > Charity Bazaar with YMCA of Taichung & Kaoshiung (Dec. 2018 – Jan. 2019);
      > the Polite Manners Campaign (Mar. 2019);
      > Blood donation activity (Annual Routine)
  5. Philippines Region
    • Y’s Men & Women Club of Metro Quezon City – Youth Development Program, supporting the Sikap Foundation Graduation of 166 Day-Care students, and 14 Faculty members by providing food and presentation of Jollibee mascot for entertaining the children at Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City Hall Complex, Pasig City (Mar. 14, 2019) *Sikap Foundation - an organization that helps 5 Day-Care Centers in Pasig City
    • Y’s Men & Women Club of Metro Quezon City – Brigada Eskwela 2019 , Annual School Cleaning Project of the Local government. Donation of cleaning materials and supplies for Abuyod National High School in Teresa, Rizal Province, and volunteer works in cleaning of the school premises (May 11, 2019)
    • Y’s Men & Women Club of Metro Quezon City – Tree Planting Activity with YMCA of Quezon City at DENR-NCR Nursery in Lagro, Quezon City (June 08, 2019)
    • Y’s Men’s Club of RAHA Philippines – Christmas Feeding, Gift Giving of groceries for Noche Buena and sponsored lunch to 160 families with 50 children at Franciscan Sisters at Bahay Toro, Quezon City (Dec. 17, 2018)
    • Y’s Men’s Club of RAHA Philippines – on-going 24/7 whole year round free ambulance and fire fighting service program, first responder to accident scenes for assisting accident victims and transport them to accredited hospitals for proper treatment; fire truck services and water tanker responder at fire scenes and providing free water during waterless days in Metro Manila
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Men’s Club – Oplan Tuli 2019 (Free Circumcision Project) attended by 5 doctors, 8 nurses, 15 barangay volunteers & 4 representative from the club for 57 indigent teens patients at Brgy 42, Caloocan City (May 10, 2019)
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Men’s Club – sponsored the Tree Planting Activity of the YMCA of Quezon City at DENR-NCR Nursery, La Mesa Watershed Reservation, Lagro, Quezon City, planted 100 molave tree seedling (June 08, 2019)
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Menettes’ Club – Christmas Gift Giving with Cash donations at Seacom Compound, San Antonio, Parañaque City benefitted 100 families of the barangay (Dec. 18, 2018)
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Menettes’ Club – Charity Scholarship Program, full scholarship grant for 6 high school students and donation of a computer for their office use for Phil. Sun Yat Sen High School, Zacateros St., Sta. Cruz, Manila (Apr. 18, 2019)
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Menettes’ Club – Cash donation for educational grant of ten (10) students at Visions of Hope Foundation in Payatas, Quezon City (Jan.21, 2019)
    • Manila Downtown Y’s Menettes’ Club – donation of chairs, tables & electric fans to the Luke Care Society Ministry at San Juan Bautista St., Payatas A, Quezon City for their clinic use

5. Additional comments

Leaders, specially from the top, if possible, must inspire their own region to recognize and response to the request of every ASDs to sent their report and on time

6. Motions to be considered by ACM

To adopt the yearly IP (International President) Theme & Slogan for the Area, Regions and down to the clubs level.
