Area Secretary's Report
Keiko Tonegawa, Area Secretary
1. Specific Goals during the term
- To organize meetings of the area effectively
- To assist AP in implementing his policy and achieving his goals to strengthen the Area
2. Measures to be taken to achieve the above mentioned goals
- Send out notices of meetings and call for reports in a timely manner
- Establish quick and effective communication among the AEOs
- Facilitate greater communication between RDs and ASDs with the cooperation from Webmaster and Bulliten Editor
3. Achievements Made
- 2018 ACM was successfully organized and held on Aug. 8 at Lacky Hotel in Gwangyang, Korea.
- Also the Area Conference (a kick-off meeting 2018-2019) was successfully held on Aug. 11 at Yeosu Expo Conention Center during the IC in Yeosu with a participation of about 100 members. '-IPE Jennifer Jones installed AP Tanaka while IPIP Henry Grindheim congratulated AP Tanaka by presenting his club banner. AP Tanaka, then, apppointed AEOs and ASDs. Following RDs' presentation, the HCC members promoted the 28th Asia Pacific Area Convention in Sendai in 2019.
4. Challenges
- To receive responses from AEOs, ASDs and RDs in a timely manner
- To follow up with requests for submission of the Constitutions from the Regions
- Just like IPAS and PAS regretted, communication poses a big challenge. Having leaders submit their registration forms and reports is most challenging.
