Week4Waste
1. Your expectations to make a difference during Nov.～Jan.2022 -Update on Progress
Week4Waste activity is a whole year round activity which clubs can participate in cleaning up the environment by picking up some litter along the way. Although it is recommended that April 02, 2022 be the global Week4Waste activity date, the club can still have it scheduled at a convenient time to do the W4W project.
2. Share 1 or 2 Key Activities that have made/will make a difference
Japan West Region & Taiwan Region had Week4Waste activities during the 2nd quarter of 2021-2022, and both had the report completed with pictures.
3. Step taken to-date to achieve Goals and Key Target 2021/2022
Continuous reminder with letters from W4W Chair Ulrik Lauidsen to RDs & Regional Offices.
4. Challenges
Covid situation of some regions hamper the outdoor activities. Senior club members & those with comorbidities are reluctant to be active with the W4W plans.
5. Additional Comments, if any
Always take some photos with detail information including how many kilos you have picked up on your W4W activity. Clubs may include cleaning of environment in relation with trash/litter matters as part of W4W project.
