Historian

Report Date: 26 Jan 2022
Ramona Morales, ASD-Historian of Asia Pacific Area 2021-2022

1. Your expectations to make a difference during Nov.~Jan.2022 -Update on Progress

It is everyone's desire to be effective and productive in the accepted task assigned.

  1. Outcome/results may not just turn out as desired, for some factors; but efforts are continuously exerted to strive to achieve; no matter how negligible.

2. Share 1 or 2 Key Activities that have made/will make a difference

Even as progress may not be visible and discouraging, this ASD continues to find ways that the work can make progress; no matter how minimal.

  1. Efforts are continued to ask for contributions towards additional information/records.

3. Step taken to-date to achieve Goals and Key Target 2021/2022

  1. Created a Power Point material and use this to present at a Dec 11, 2021 workshop organized by ASD LTOD (PAP) Edward Ong.
  2. This Power Point material/article was submitted to ISD Historian Debbie Redmond; who appreciated the slides/work; said she will use this in her compilation.
  3. In anticipation for this terms significant events' records, request is extended to AS Kayoko Maeda, who may periodically choose materials for History publication. Gratefully, AS Maeda has acknowledged positively.

4. Challenges

As from prior year, one recipient (Taiwan) is very fast in providing materials; thank you very much! Few recipients to emails/requests are slow in their response. Understandably, they may have other more pressing issues, concerns and tasks that needed priority attention. However, other request/communication recipients NEVER provide the requested materials; not even acknowledge receipt of such requests. So sad!

5. Additional Comments, if any

  1. This Historian will continue to do its task as best as possibly it can; within means.
