Area Development Fund Committee
The Area Development Fund -ADF was established and conceived in 1994 to be part of the Asia Area Extension fund, with the accumulation from the surplus on each Area Convention to be top up. The total fund of more than 75,000 USD was finally and gracefully shared into half for both Korea Area and Asia Area on the brotherhood gesture for the purpose as mentioned. Since then, the fund was registered and deposited into the Account under the ADF Task Force on the basis of the guardian structure in Hong Kong and later to move the wholde fund to Japan without much of the movement of the policy to utilize fund for the good causes of the development of Asia & Pacific Area.
On 28th of January 2021, AP David Lua proposed the Area Development Fund Committee reformatted in order to have the new normal structure with 8 appointed leaders to manage the ADF along with Ex-Officio and Secretary to form the New Structure with relevance Terms of References of the ADC-to be detailed elaborated by AP David Lua on this coming Area Mid-Year Council Meeting 2021-2021-Sunday 28th of Feb/2021 via Zoom.
On the behalf of the Chairperson -ADF, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all of the past committee/task force for the past attempt in many occasion during the Area Convention /Mid Year meeting to set up the Commission the Committtee and Adminsitration Function including to work on the Operating Gudielines and how to fund the additional resources to the existing ADF to serve the purpose. Only that the determination, discipline and preseverance shall be equipped to make a difference. Thank you for the New Admiinstration to take it over with blessing indeed.
I also would like to express my special gratitues to the two treasurers both in Hong Kong and in Japan who constantly audited and put the fund in the proper registration.
