LACM Report for 2022-2023

Area President Elect

Report Date: 23 Jun 2023
Tonegawa Keiko, APE of Asia Pacific Area 2022-2023

1. Share what you consider to be the achievements/highlights of the Region and the Area

The Centennial Year has been memorable both in positive and negative ways. The positive part is a successful Centennial Celebration in Taiwan in March.

The negative part is the IP's resignation and allegations of corruption and constitutional violations on the International level. The Asia Pacific Area collectively addressed the International issues by issuing the Statement of Asia Pacific Area Leaders.

Aside from the International issues, the ASP Area completed the Area's Centennial projects.  These are great achievements.

2. Membership and Financial Target & Achievement (as may be applicable)

I want to aim at 4,000 members. (Current membership is about 3,500)

As for the international contributions, I want to aim at a 10% increase in each program.

3. Outline specific objectives/actions you are proposing for 2023-24

1. Successful Area Convention and Area Youth Convocation

2. Establishment of the Committee and the Policy for the Environmental Fund and the Natural Disaster Emergency Relief Fund.

3. To support the weak Regions

4. Indicate topics needing Area or International attention

Follow-up actions of the Statement of Asia Pacific Area Leaders

5. Additional Comments, if any

As ICM, I would like to represent the Area appropriately at the ICM in July.
