1. Share what you consider to be the achievements/highlights of the Region and the Area

  1. Japan East and Japan West Regions have been forming official partnership project, called "Ys SDGs Youth Action" from April 2022 to February 2023. This is the first year for such actions together by three parties by paying 2,600,000 yen (20,000USD) to support a total of 10 projects which were all conducted by young people (below 35) groups. Those were selected by the three parties out of 18 applications. The projects  were all well performed and there were several times for presentations. This was cinducted only in Japan, but this kind of project could be spread to many other countries as one of the partnership building projects.

3. Outline specific objectives/actions you are proposing for 2023-24

  1. The Youth actions could be continued by both YMCA and Y's Men. For the year ahead, Japan East will plan to conduct with more funds for 10 projects in Japan East, while Japan West will continue this project in a different scale. 
  2. This model could be introduced to some other regions in ASP Area. 
  3. One idea could be done through TOF if we can be ready in several countries in Asia Pacific by the time of application (March 2024).

4. Indicate topics needing Area or International attention

  1. Y's Men movement in Japan need to be revitalized and recruit more young generations into the movements. 
  2. This is one idea for the revitalization of the Y's Men Movement in the coming two years.
