Area Treasurer
1. Reports on your progress toward your goals (activities from July to October)
I have pleasure in enclosing herewith the following documents for your approval:
(1) The First Quarterly Financial Statement for the Period from 1 July 2022 to 24 September 2022;
(2) The Budgeted Income and Expenditure statement for the Year 2022-23
2. Reports on your plans (October to February 2023)
I shall prepare the Second Quarterly Financial Statement for the Period from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2022;
I shall chase for payment of 1st Sem 2022/23 to be settle by end of November 2022.
3. Challenges you feel you are facing in carrying out the assignment (if any)
Challenge 1: The membership figure for 1st Sem 2022/23 will estimated in the sum of 3,473, a decreased by 4.5% (2 Sem 2021/22: 3,637); Australia, Philippines & Sri Lanka Regions will have problems in retaining members.
Challenge 2: We have difficulty in communicating with SMIT District and Sri Lanka to ascertain the membership figures in time. They often delay in reporting membership data.
4. What can the Area help you with (if any)
We shall help SMIT District to report their membership figure in time.
5. Items you would like to see discussed at ACM (if any)
Presently the Area’s bank Accounts are maintained in Hong Kong with The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (“HSBC”). Any two of the authorized signatories (Fung Ka Choi, Wong Yun Wai Bing Rose, &/or Kong Tze Wing) are authorised to sign cheques and documents required by the bank on behalf of the Area. Since Rose Yun is replaced by Gabriel Lee, I suggest that Rose Yun will remain one of the Authorised Signatories as the Trustee, Gabriel Lee will be additional Authorised Signatories as the AOC. The new authorised signatories are: Please approved.
