1. Reports on your progress toward your goals (activities from July to October)

(1) CS and YSA projects.

 (a) Corona has shrunk a little and will gradually resume its activities.

 (b) Call for and implement World Clean-up Day (17 September).

 (c) To activate CS activities, compile and prepare a pro bono list of club members (professions/expertise).

(2) Membership development projects

 (a) The EMC Committee is preparing an action plan for membership growth (July to October).

           A Team: Working with the YMCA to promote Y's activities in the YMCA's magazine.

           Team B: Same as before, but approach general acquaintances and friends.

           Team C: Teams that have established new clubs are currently working on their activities.

 (b) 100-day membership campaign from 1 September to 6 December. Analyse the current membership numbers (age groups, comparison with the number of YMCA staff, etc.), inform everyone in the district of the current situation and raise awareness of membership growth. (Completed in September)

 (c) Establishment of new clubs 3 September 2022 Charter Kofu Yamanami Club 11 members

  (Established mainly with young members)

 (d) Increase in membership by October: 14 members against a target of 60.

(3) International and exchange activities

 (a) Promote the BF stamp collection to be actively implemented.

 (b) Visualising donations and preparing materials to deepen understanding of donations.

 (c) Preparations are underway for festive events such as the YMI 100th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the East West Japan District. Meetings twice a month.

(4) Youth projects

(a) Participation of youth in IYC (Chiang Mai, Thailand). (4-9 Sept). 

The meeting was meaningful for young people as they deepened exchanges with overseas youth.

(b) Youth Action, a joint activity of the YMCA and the East and West Wards, supporting youth teams on the theme of the SDGs. Six teams supported in the East Japan Wards are currently active.

(c) 34th YVLF. 28 youth, 10 supporting YMCAs and 17 Y's, 55 participants in total. 30 September - 2 October. Supported youth exchanges.

(d) Provided financial support and advice on activities for both IYC, Youth Action and YVLF.

2. Reports on your plans (October to February 2023)

(1) CS and YSA projects

      (a) Promote CS and YSA activities in 59 clubs.

   Target 2 activities (using grants) that take advantage of the benefits of incorporation.

      (b) Aim to complete the pro bono list.

 (2) Membership development projects

      (a) Overstrengthening of membership Continue to promote the activities of A, B and C teams; promote the 100-day campaign to increase membership from 1 September to 6 December.

      (b) Strengthen extension activities and establish new clubs, with a target of two clubs.

      (c) Promote membership growth, aiming for a net increase of 60 members by the end of the year.

 (3) International and exchange activities

      (a) Promote participation in YMI's 100th anniversary convention.

      (b) Promote participation in the East West Japan District's 25th anniversary social event.

      (c) Achieve the donation target.

 (4) Youth projects

      (a) Supporting Youth Action (SDGs) teams (presentation in February 2023)

      (b) OFY (Open Forum Y) to be held from April to May 2023

      (c) Promotion and preparation for the establishment of youth clubs (target 3 clubs)

      (d) Targeted financial support and grant applications for Youth Action Teams

3. Challenges you feel you are facing in carrying out the assignment (if any)

  (a) Expected decrease in donations due to the impact of the weak yen

      (b) Lack of activity due to the current corona (not returning to its original vitality)

4. What can the Area help you with (if any)

  1. I would like all costs related to hosting BF Ambassadors to be borne by the International Association or the Asia-Pacific region.

5. Items you would like to see discussed at ACM (if any)

  1. We would like to see the following two points.

      We would like fewer documents to be submitted.

      Meetings should last no longer than two hours (Zoom meetings).
