1. Your expectations to make a difference during Jul.-Oct.?-Update on Progress

  1. With the deadline of November 30 for the submission of (1) Y's Original Songs and (2) ASP Songbook approaching, it is expected that more clubs and individuals will join the campaign.

2. Step taken to-date to achieve Goals and Key Target 2021/2022

  1. A special poster has been created and circulated to all the Regions.
  2. Some Regions circulated a common questionnaire to ask members to list most favorate songs to be included in the Songbook.
  3. The monthly meetings at the Area level have brought men from different Regions to get to know each other and enjoy singing at the meeting.
  4. Some individuals have submitted original and parody songs and introduced during the Regional meetings.
  5. The different proposed activities introduced at the Area meetings have helped other Regions to think about applying them.

3. Share 1 or 2 Key Activities that have made/will make a difference

  1. Questionnaire
  2. Appeals during the District council meetings and conventions.
  3. Poster
  4. Plaing songs at various Regional and District meetings.

4. Challenges

  1. Unlike golf cmpetition, a favorite game among the Y's men, the SongFest project requires some musical talent and work. Clubs/Districts have to study who can compose or perform or has external musical contacts, etc..
  2. To encourage the men to sing the songs collected during the campaign and feel the ownership.  It would be most unfortunate if at the end we are still left with "Once more we stand".
  3. The project should hopefully continue beyond 2022 and possibly into othe Areas bringing young people into the Y'sdom.

5. Additional Comments, if any
