1. Your expectations to make a difference during Jul.-Oct.?-Update on Progress

Much of 2020-2021 was taken up by the Area Constitution Task Force with reformatting, broader details and fine-tuning of the reworked text the the Area Constitution and Area Guidelines.

  1. Final details regarding voting procedures and translation of the documents were completed and shared with Area leaders and the Satellite Office in Chiang Mai for distribution amongst the clubs in Area Asia Pacific for their votes to be cast.

2. Step taken to-date to achieve Goals and Key Target 2021/2022

  1. After the wholehearted positive approval of the updated Area Constitution and Area Guidelines by the clubs in Area Asia Pacific, the documents were then forwarded to the International Constitutional Review Committee, headed by ICRC Silvya Reyes De Croci, for their approval. Upon receiving their approval, a recommendation was sent by this committee to the International Council, seeking their endorsement at their earliest convenience.

3. Share 1 or 2 Key Activities that have made/will make a difference

  1. Once the new Area Constitution and Area Guidelines are approved by the International Council, the documents should enlighten and inform Area leaders and clubs regarding the proper governance and administration of YMI activities in the Area.

4. Challenges

  1. Helping leaders and clubs to become better acquainted with the new documents and the benefits and guidance offered.

  1. I am thankful for the dedication of the members of this group, who worked solidly and inspiringly in reshaping this document. I am proud to have them in this Area team!!
