Green Activities & Environment

1. You are the best and recommended as ASD; how do you work with AP for a better achievement of ASP Area targets?

YMI International Green Team approach changing, so Area Green Team need to consider how it works. For example YMI to establish a fund that members can donate to for 'green' projects.

2. Your Goals and Targets in the first and second half semesters separately

Goal to have regular meetings of Area Green Team, at least every 2 months.

Goal to increase action by YMI members on Green Activities & Environment, for example reducing greenhouse gases, planting trees, etc.

Goal to publish 'green action' newsletter, at least 4 per annum.

3. The constructively helpful activities/projects for AREA to consider?

Clubs supporting associated YMCAs with 'green' activities, for example helping raise funds to pay for energy efficiency projects, solar, etc. These projects reduce electricity consumption, reduce cost and reduce greenhouse gases.

4. Challenges and Topics for next 100 years YMI

Membership! Operation of clubs need to change to fit local needs of volunteers.

5. Additional Comments, if any

YMCAs in Asia leading the world on climate action. This gives the YMI an opportunity to enhance relationship with YMCAs by partnering with them on climate action projects.
