YMI Liaison to YMCA

1. Your expectations to make a difference during the term 2021-22

  1.  We need to decide the target  countries in the Asia Pacific Area. For this I would like to discuss with AP and APE in the first quater. 
  2. Once decided the target countries, we will contact the focused countries as well as key leaders of the same Regions and districts before having the initial meetings. 
  3. We will select a few target countries in this year.

2. Goals and Key Targets 2021-22

  1. One trial of the partnership work between YMCA and Y's Men's Clubs are starting in Japan, called 'Youth Action" during the year of 2022. Once this model works, this will be introduced to the other counties in ASP.
  2. Myanmar had four new clubs and they need to be followed up. At the same time, we are operating sa special fundraising campaign for supporting Myanmar YMCA in fall 2021. 

3. Key Activities 2021-22

  1. Myanmar Support
  2. Japan Youth Action
  3. Any country willing to discuss with YMCA and also the YMCA is willing to make some action with YMI, I would like to make an action plan.

4. Challenges

  1. Previously YMCA side is not open to do something with Y's Men's Club in the same country. Therefore I need to contact YMCA leaders if we identify the needs.
