ACM Report for 2021-2022

Community Service

Report Date: 11 Aug 2021
Paul Lim, ASD-CS of Asia Pacific Area 2021-2022

1. Your expectations to make a difference during the term 2021-22

With the Centennial Celebration in focus for 2022 and many regions of ASP still under the threat of Covid-19 pandemic, clubs have to support and find ways to raise funds, develop, serve and extend its reach to help & give services to our communities, especially to those front liners in battling the Covid-19 pandemic.  We, as Y's Men, are committed to making a positive and sustainable difference through concientious volunteerism in giving back and strengthening our communities to help our less fortunate sisters and brothers.  Let's stay safe but keep our community service ongoing in more innovative ways.

2. Goals and Key Targets 2021-22

Y's Men's Clubs are composed of Service Clubs, and in consonance with the goal and targets of AP OHNO Ben, let our CS Projects & Activities focus more on collaborating with YMCAs programs of each locality, with participation of more youth members.  The 2nd objective of the Y's Men's Club is "to support other worthy organizations".  Clubs doing projects or joint projects will foster greater bonding & motivation with one another.  The feeling of fulfillment and happiness from the outcome of the project will lead us looking forward to more and more exciting projects participation.

If in localities where there's no YMCA or for whatever reason, then let's focus on any of the 8 selected SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) from 17 SDGs of the United Nations on Community Services in which clubs in our ASP Area have been doing for the past several years, and let's continue the traditions and promote Y'sdom in our communities.
