1. Preamble and Background
- Theme - Passion and Action
Taiwan region is a active region in Asia Pacific Area.We just held 72nd IC2016 international convention in capital city Taipei 2 years ago. With this successful experience, We gain more courage to apply to host another Asia Pacific area convention to be held in Taiwan July 2021.
We have strong confidence we can do good job &make the convention successfully.
2. Challenges - International Project Contribution/deliverables
Taiwan region is facing the same problems happen in other areas.
- membership ageing & difficulties in recruiting of sufficient new young members.
- membership conservation & extension: we need to find more active and efficient way to improve Y’s dom image and induce more persons to join Y’s men’s club.
- Membership: increase 20-40 members, charter 1 Y’s men’s clubs, 1 youth club, 1 menettes club.
- ASF:CHF 1600 sponsor at least 2 YMCA staff’s scholarship
- BE: Publish 4 issues regional bulletin and 4 issues “YMI world ” translated into Chinese language .
- BF: The contribution target is cash CHF 7000.00 & stamp 10,000 points.
- CS: To strengthen on community services actively .In continuation of promoting region-wide “Polite manner campaign”among local schools & reach another decade, and other Campaigns such as“respect and concern the eldly people ”charity .My yearly main C.S campaign is still under Planing.
- EF: Contribution goal is CHF 3500
- LT: To hold Taiwan region’s CPE,DGE and RSD leadership training on April 2020.
- RBM: The contribution goal is CHF3200.
- TOF: The contribution goal is CHF2800.
- YES: The contribution goal is CHF810.
- WEB: We have facilitated a homepage at www.ysmen.org.tw
We will update latest datas or informations more frequently. - Regional: 2019-2020 44th Taiwan regional convention will be held in north parts of Taiwan on/about begining of June/2020.
3. Immediate Action
- Inspire our club’s member passion to participate Y’s men’s social community service projects and enhance Y’s men’s image in Taiwan.
- Strengthen member conservation and extension to attract more young potential persons to join Taiwan Y’s men’s club.
- Encourage more club’s members / menettes to take part in Asia Pacific Area convention to be held in Sendai Japan on July/2019.
4. Long Range Plan
- Taiwan Region is expecting to have IPE candidate to be elected from Taiwan.
- Total number of Taiwan region Y’s men’s club can reach 1,000 in next 10 years.
