Interim Report for 2019-2020

Taiwan Region

Tony Liao, RD of Taiwan Region

1. Specific Goals during the term

1. Membership: increase 20-40 members, charter 1 Y’s Men’s clubs,1 Youth club,1 menettes club.
2. Donate International programs' goals:
   ASF: CHF 1600 BF: CHF 7000
   EF: CHF 3500 RBM: CHF 3200
   TOF: CHF 2800 YES: CHF 810
   
3. BE: Publish 4 issues regional bulletin and 4 issues “YMI world ” translated into Chinese language .
4. CS: To strengthen on community services actively .In continuation of promoting region-wide “Polite manner campaign”among local schools & reach another decade, and other Campaigns such as "Respect and concern the elder people" charity. My yearly main CS campaign is still under planning.
5. LT: To hold Taiwan Region CPE, DGE and RSD leadership training on 11th-12th April 2020.
6. WEB:We have facilitated a homepage at www.ysmen.org.tw We will update latest datas or informations more frequently.
7. RC: 2019-2020 44th Taiwan Regional Convention will be held in Keelung Taiwan on 6th-7th June/2020.

2. Measures to be taken to achieve the above mentioned goals

1. Membership ageing & difficulties in recruiting of sufficient new young members.
2. Membership conservation & extension: we need to find more active and efficient way to improve Y’sdom image and induce more persons to join Y’s Men’s club.

3. Achievements Made

• International Program Contribution (until 31 Dec.) (CHF): ASF 793; BF 2,937; EF 1,587; RBM 1,866; TOF 1,349; YES 396 Support East-Japan Typhoon Fundraising Relief Campaign donates USD 27,930.
• Membership: 498 members, 24 clubs, reduce 10 members.
  Charter one club - YMC of Pingtung-Wandan on 28th Dec., 2019.
• ASF: Sponsor two YMCA staff:

  1. Drinking Bottle Water Donation - North District on Jul.
  2. Send love to the disabled children - North District on Sep.
  3. Anti-drug campaign. - North, Center and South District on Oct.-Dec.
  4. Chang- Hwa Elderly Care-Center Charity Sale - Center District on Oct.
  5. Beautify our community - South District on Oct.
  6. Annual routine -- Blood donation activity. - Whole Region.
