4. Challenges

  1. One of my concerns was “coaching‟ the new and prospective members at club level.
As I promised the RDEs and RDs, sent the following information to share with all club presidents.
    • “Peer coaching” will educate the new and prospective members to gain proper knowledge and understanding of our organization.
    • Coaching is about a way of leading and learning.
    • Coaching can be highly effective in supporting individuals and teams, a style to give awareness that is developmental.
    • A coach takes time to have focused conversations with the newcomers to help them maximize their capabilities.
    • Peer Coaching can be done using „one-to-one‟ method or with two or three prospective members.
    • Peer Coaching can be easily done on the days of your usual club meetings while having a drink, a meal, during a break, during fellowship, etc.
  2. It was a great pleasure to work together with all ASDs and assist ISD LTOD in preparing all the Training modules which are on international website now. It was a challenge for all of us and we like one family, worked towards ISD’s goal and finally fulfilled the tasks undertaken within 2015-2018.

5. Additional Comments

I had great pleasure in preparing the pieces of RDE Training held in my 3 year term. Every year, starting as early as August, with constant communication I was able to organize fruitful RDE training sessions which had been appreciated. Each time we had joint RDE training with Korea Area, the great assistance I received from Korea is commendable.

My sincere thanks to
  1. the 2 APs I had to work for as ASD LTOD in my 3-year term who placed their trust in me and gave me the authority to organize all 3 training sessions,
  2. IP troika and ISG Nishi for giving me their ready cooperation.
  3. Korea ASD LTOD & OS Mr. Kyun for their brotherly assistance.
